Your call for another PERSTROIKA–social engineers should indeed openly and honestly reanalyze sacred books, to analyze the new epoch, to learn as much as possible from terrible mistakes of predecessors, etc. The basic dilemma, reform or proletarian dictatorship must be addressed over and over. Which one would create less innicent victims? Good luck.

The major problem with the above discussion is that it is premised on the assumption that a ‘uniformity’ of ideas is a positive. In practice – within an organisation this very soon becomes ‘conformity to THE ideas (read ‘the platform’).
There is a certain ‘mind set’ here that is troubling. Why is it a problem to have a diversity of ideas within an organisation – agreement and disagreement, on going. This can take place within agreed wider boundaries. This seems to be what Jonas is arguing and I think he is along the right path. Narrow conformity to a ‘platform’ becomes a ‘requirement to conform’. We have to accept that having differences is part of the a living democratic organisation

Where’s the mention of the “underdog”, not as wealthy,famous or important?, Bradley represents the working class hero in all this..he’s poor,has No voice & helped make wikileaks as influential as they are.. He’s facing 52 yrs, congressmen calling for his life ! I’d expect him to feature at least alongside Julian on a marxist site ?? I’m a bit too emotionally involved cos I’ve spent 3 days going from link to link campaigning for him & largely been ignored I acknowledge that he featured on your placard today !!
As you know I relate to “liberty loss” through experience. & he must be frightened particularly at the unknown.. Horrible !!
Must get back to “Cuts” tomorrow.. Hope I wasn’t too rude ! Martin.W
